Besides ancestor spirits, Kuy believe in other nature spirits together with that with the watch lizard (takuat) which they imagine to become symbol of fertility. The Kuy perform ceremonies to propitiate the takuat spirit and ask for fertility from nature. They'd also go ahead and take tail in the lizard to make use of in divination ceremonies. All
